Face Fashion put on a great show in 2010. Unfortunately for me and for the second show in a row I was unable to attend due to work commitments overseas. However luckily for me and for those who missed out on the sold out event held at Carriage Works in Sydney, it was captured by Face TV.

FACETV exclusively covered the Fatboye Group launch and fashion show. This groover night was held at Rubbit Rabbit on Oxford Street. Here are some snaps with some of the models, make up artist Jennifer Foo and fellow Face TV Presenter Lauren Dewsbury. Also check out the Face TV video!

✏ The “Queen of Hearts” and one of my fellow colleagues at FACETV joined me last night to cover the best Halloween parties in Kings Cross and we also grabbed some very interesting interviewees for a chat. However today I’m putting the spotlight on Lauren as I delve a tad bit deeper into who she is and what she’s all about..
You’re apart of the FACETV Presenter crew, what has your experience been like so far?
Being apart of Face Fashion is definitely a very exciting job. It’s great being apart of such a dynamic and creative group of people! At FACETV we get to cover the coolest events in Sydney, whether it be a high end designer fashion show or the opening of Sydney’s hottest new nightspot. My experience with the team has been amazing so far, there has been so many highlights! The most prominent two would have to be speaking with Rachael Finch- Miss Universe Australia at Miss Country Girl Australia pageant and with Australian fashion designer Nicola Finetti at the FTV diamond model awards. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!
You have worn designer pieces like LuLu in Chains what fashion expression do you like to showcase to your viewers?
Lulu in Chains is definitely one of my favourite new designers! I really take my hat off to designer Shadi Tambrchi for creating such unique contrasting garments that are feminine, yet edgy all at the same time. I instantly fell in love with her designs!
My fashion style is very bold. I like to wear alot of neutral colours, especially black. Garments with strong, sharp lines appeal to me the most and i’m loving the structured shoulder at the moment.
Camilla and Marc is a label that continually appeals to me, as does Illionaire and Dion Lee, just to name a few!
Fashion is definitely a passion of mine, and that is the message that i like to convey to viewers of FACETV through the clothes I choose to wear.
One of your signature fashion statements is your very cool hairstyle. Have you always been uber trendy in this department?
I think a good haircut is the icing on the cake when it comes to the perfect outfit. I am very well looked after by the amazing stylists at Christopher Hanna Hair on Oxford St and i have to say my hair is definitely a showcase of their skills and creativity!
Believe it or not, i once had hair down to my lower back and took the plunge about 2 years ago and cut it to my shoulders. From then I haven’t looked back and it’s continued to get shorter and blonder since then! Agnes Deyn and Victoria Beckham, as different as they may be, are both big fashion icons in my eyes and they have both sported the short, platinum cut at some point and this was most likely what lead me to adopt this style as my own!
Asides from FACETV Presenting what else are you involved with?
Apart from FACETV, I am in the middle of a Social Science degree at UNSW but looking to change into a Media/Communications degree at the beginning of next year.
After recieving surfing lessons as a birthday gift from a great friend, i’m spending alot of time (trying to) surfing. I really enjoy excercising and looking after myself- whether it be at the gym or at least one yoga session per week. (I do have an excellent PT though, who does a great job at keeping me motivated! Thankyou Sean Aalders
) Inspired by Masterchef I have been trying to cook alot more lately, but let’s just say you won’t be seeing me on the show anytime soon!
